Treatment modalities are the various methods used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), also known as attention deficit disorder (ADD). While there are a number of alternative treatments that claim to help people with ADHD, there are only a few that are generally supported by the medical and ADHD community. They include education, medication, behavioral treatment, pschotherapy and coaching.

Medicare provides basic health insurance, such as hospital and medical coverage. You can also add coverage to your original Medicare plan if you enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C). These plans offer additional coverage, and they are provided by private companies that have a contract with Medicare. You are not required to enroll in Part C, but doing so gives you more options if you need dental care.

Postpartum psychosis usually occurs in about 1 to 4 out of every 1,000 births, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Postpartum psychosis is defined as, "an episode of psychosis, either depressive or schizophrenic, after childbirth, says Mosby’s Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health Dictionary.

Giving birth can be an experience that initiates numerous emotions from overjoyed to anxiety. But it can also bring a feeling no new mother wants to have, and that is depression. One source of depression is postpartum depression, which is a serious condition that occurs during the first year of a woman giving birth. Postpartum depression affects both mother and child, which can cause the mother to be unable to take care of or bond with her baby.

In the back of your abdominal region is an elongated, soft gland that produces enzymes that help in the digestion of carbohydrates, fat and protein. This is your pancreas. Your pancreas also produces bicarbonate, which keeps the acids in your stomach from burning through. It also regulates the amount of sugar in the bloodstream. Several deficiencies in the operation of the pancreas could cause tremendous health problems. One well-known deficiency is pancreatitis.

Do Americans need health insurance? No. No one needs health insurance — people need health care. Health insurance is just a middleman, a gatekeeper of sorts that takes our money and manages the payment of our bills. The insurance companies decide our course of treatment instead of our more qualified doctors. There is not one American who needs health insurance. What is necessary is to figure out a better way to receive the health care that we need.

According to the New York State Department of Health, all persons covered under federal and state administered Medicaid who are eligible for Medicare receive prescription drug coverage under the Medicare part D program.

In 2006, the federal government began Medicare Part D primarily to provide financial assistance to seniors for prescription drugs. The government subsidizes certain drugs for program participants, who can enroll through a variety of plans. There are many plans available. Plans vary by state, and each plan has its own set of rules concerning generic and name brand drugs, monthly premiums, deductibles and co-pays.

Medicaid and Medicare are both government health insurance programs. Medicare covers retired people, while Medicaid covers the poor. Medicare also has a drug benefit, called Part D. In some cases, people will qualify for both sets of coverage. Those with Medicare Part D and Medicaid may avoid service denials by understanding how their coverage works.

Medicare Part D was originally approved in 2003 and officially started in 2006. The plan was brought about as a way to help those on Medicare pay for prescription drugs. Individuals who couldn’t afford to buy all their medications now have an option that helps. The participant has a deductible, but they also get discounted costs on their drugs. Those who want to enroll must first meet certain requirements put in place on all participants.
