Home Remedies for Making Moles Disappear

Also known as basal nevus and nevocytic nevus, a mole is either present at birth or caused by exposure to sunlight. Though usually brown or even brown-black, moles can also be flesh-colored and may appear anywhere on your body. Usually moles are benign and not a source of worry; however, in some cases moles can become cancerous. For benign moles, there are several home remedies that can help you remove them from your skin.

Potassium

Potassium will not only get rid of moles, but will also prevent them from showing up again. Eat a diet high in potassium daily. Chicken, bananas, apricots, kiwi, milk, spinach, tomatoes, potatoes, and prunes are all excellent choices with high potassium content. When potassium-enriched foods are eaten consistently for at least a month, moles already formed will diminish, and the likelihood of moles appearing will decrease.

Onions and Salt

The smell may not be too pleasant, but raw onions and salt can help get rid of skin moles. Chop a raw onion in half and then pour salt generously over the onion. Wrap the onion up and let it sit overnight. Apply the onion directly on any mole that needs to be removed. Let the onion sit on the mole for at least five minutes. Repeat this step two to three times daily until the mole is no longer visible.

Dandelion Root

Dandelion root is another effective way to remove skin moles, and is a relatively simple procedure. Start by cutting the root of a dandelion. Massage the root of the dandelion all over the mole and the surrounding area. Make sure the juice in the root has covered the mole completely. Leave the juice on for at least 10 minutes. This can repeated two to three times daily. Dandelion root is also a wonderful remedy for removing warts from the skin as well.
