Scalp fungus is a very bothersome condition. It usually causes intense itching and irritation, tightness on your scalp, dandruff and even red patches and crusting. However, the good news is that it is not very difficult to get rid of it. If you apply some simple treatment steps, you can conquer it in less than two months.

Anti-Fungal Remedy

Use an anti-fungal shampoo. There are many available as over-the-counter products. They all contain any of Zinc Pyrithione (one to two percent), Selenium Sulphide (2.5 percent) or Ketoconazole (two percent). Each of these chemicals is effective at getting rid of scalp fungus. Nizoral, containing two percent Ketoconazole, is an established brand of anti-fungal shampoos.

Apply anti-fungal shampoo to hair.

Deeply massage the shampoo into your scalp and on the affected area.

Allow the shampoo to penetrate your hair and scalp for three to five minutes.

Rinse anti-fungal shampoo from your hair and reapply as directed.

Continue using anti-fungal shampoo according to the daily recommendation on the shampoo bottle until your scalp fungus clears.

Margos Remedy

Use Margosa-based shampoos, conditioners and hair oil regularly to get rid of scalp fungus. Margosa is commonly known as Neem in India. Margosa is a herb that has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

Boil a handful of Margosa herbs in plain water. Allow the mixture to cool before you attempt to apply it to your scalp.

Apply the Margosa mixture by massaging it into your scalp.

Leave the Margosa mixture on your scalp for three to five minutes and then rinse. Ensure that you thoroughly rinse these herbs out of your hair to prevent herbs from lingering in your hair or on your scalp.

Continue using this mixture once per day until your scalp fungus has cleared completely.
