There are many funguses that are toxic to humans–they easily enter our bodies through the air we breathe and the foods we eat. They are kept in check by the healthy bacteria in our system, but the use of antibiotics, oral contraceptives, alcohol and additives and preservatives in our food destroys the healthy bacteria, making our systems out off balance and allowing fungus to grow unchecked. A fungal overgrowth–often called candida–will cause numerous health problems, making it necessary to cleanse the fungus from the body.
Starve The Fungus
Fungus thrives on carbohydrates and sugars–when you eat those, you are actually feeding the fungus. Try a low-carbohydrate, low-sugar diet. But even if the symptoms begin to clear up because the fungus is disappearing, you must make permanent changes or the overgrowth will return and you’ll be sick again. Eliminate refined sugars and anything that contains yeast or encourages the growth of yeast, such as bread products, crackers and alcoholic beverages.
Fight Fungus With Anti-fungal Supplements in Your Diet
Anti-fungal supplements, such as, captylic acid, olive leaf extract, apple cider vinegar, undecylenic acid, grapefruit seed extract and neem have been proven to fight fungus in the body. These supplements should be taken on a rotational basis, switching to a different one every couple of weeks, to keep the fungus from adapting to their anti-fungal properties. It may take several months for the fungal overgrowth to be resolved, so you must keep up the regimen until you are certain the process is complete. Check with your herbalist or alternative physician to determine the dosage of the supplements you should take.
Clean Out Your System
As the fungus dies off, proteins and toxins are released into the blood stream, causing headaches, fatigue and other ailments. In order to remove this waste from your system more quickly, increase your daily intake of water and dietary fiber. Once the waste is cleared from your system, you will notice a great improvement in the way you feel.
Restore Your System’s Natural Balance
In order to allow the healthy bacteria to survive in your system, you must stop using antibiotics, oral contraceptives and alcohol and avoid foods with additives and preservatives or that might have fungal growth. You need to add probiotics, a source of good bacteria, to your diet. Yogurt, buttermilk and supplements are good probiotic sources. The natural balance will be restored when there are enough healthy bacteria in your system to hold fungal growth in check.
