Salts for Detox
There are many natural-forming salts and mineral crystal compounds available for use in home detoxification baths. Although all salts have the ability to draw out toxins from the body, there are some salts that are better for certain conditions than other salts. You can use salts for detox by themselves in your bath water or use a combination of different bath salts to utilize the healing properties of several salts at one time.

Epsom salt contains two major constituents—magnesium and sulfates. Use Epsom salts in your bath to help eliminate toxins from your body. Ease muscle pain and fade bruises by adding two cups of Epsom salt to your bath water and soak for about 15 minutes. If you are experiencing deep muscle pain, stir two tbsp. of powdered ginger into one cup of Epsom salts and pour into a warm bath. Soak for no longer than 30 minutes.
Epsom salt and sesame oil baths help to eradicate stress and dry skin. Mix one up of sesame oil with one cup of sea salt and one cup of Epsom salt. Add the mixture to your warm bath water and soak for about 20 minutes.
Epsom salt compresses can be applied directly to the skin to pull out splinters, ease sore muscles and insect bites. Add two cups of Epsom salt to a gallon of water. Saturate a towel, cotton ball or cheesecloth piece with the mixture and apply directly to the affected area.
