What Is Noni Juice?
The Noni plant is mainly grown in Tahiti, but its name is Hawaiian. The juice from the fruit is an excellent source of vitamins, especially vitamin C, vitamin A, niacin (vitamin B3), iron and potassium. Noni juice, known as the Tahitian miracle cure, can help with weight loss, headaches, diabetes, cancer, fibromyalgia and multiple sclerosis.
The ripest Noni fruit are chosen to create the juice. After a 2-month fermentation period, the soy sauce-colored juice is bottled in glass containers.
Noni juice has been a part of traditional Polynesian medicine. Some modern-day physicians promote it as well. One physician has noted an improvement in blood pressure and blood sugar in her patients, and in her female patients, a reduction and elimination of fibroid cysts.
In a cancer study, cancer cells had difficulty forming in rats were given Noni juice.
Noni juice has a bitter taste. To make it more palatable, it’s often mixed with other juices, such as blueberry or grape.
Those with advanced kidney disease should not consume Noni juice because of the high potassium content. Pregnant women and children also should steer clear of this juice.
